Amtrak's Southwest Chief at Flagstaff, AZ

There's be a lot of talk about Amtrak, and it's faltering support of long distance trains. Including the Southwest Chief. Here's three shots I took of it on June 14th, 2013 in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Photographer and exact date unknown. Cambridge, MN 1968. First two shots are the Twin Ports bound train. Third shot is heading towards the Twin Cities.

Mark, the Delaware-Lackawanna is a local shortline there. The 3642 is very much operational. Steamtown uses the D-L for some of their excursion trains. They have many old Alco diesels on their property, operating. https://youtu.be/82X5n8qKUQI
