Wowak Sounds to me like a great way to spend a day. Good scenery, nice ride, and with the locomotives running around the train on your side, well, at least you get to see the engines moving. Yeah, they were diesels, but still... Maybe the GSMR is a place that might want to consider one of those QJ ...

While you're talking tourist roads, I think the D&SNG would be at the top of the list with the C&TS also placing in a respectable position. The Grand Canyon Railway put a lot of miles on their engines when they ran steam year 'round. That has scaled back significantly but I would guess that...

How about C&O 614 and Reading T-1 2102 Len. I doubt 614 would qualify anywhere near the top of the list. Her operating time has been rather limited. 2 seasons of Chessie Steam Special, the ACE tests in WV, and 3yrs of the Hoboken to Port Jervis trips (probably about 20 trips). Big profile engin...
