Marvin The Martian Rides The Montana Rail Link (Sort Of)

Postby SOO2719 » Thu Jul 20, 2017 9:39 pm

I spotted this colorfully "tagged" Montana Rail Link hopper at Riverland AG in Shakopee today. I did not note Marvin The Martian's presence until I got home. As usual, I cannot decipher the artwork on either side of him, though. Still, quite a colorful car MRL has got.

I passed by Riverland AG earlier today. This colorful Montana Rail Link hopper has apparently headed for home rails by now.

I saw that same car on UP's mainline, eastbound in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, about 2 weeks ago.

I guess they don't clean that crap as fast as they used to? Hope they haven't given up and let the vandals win.

Do they really clean them up???? !!!!

The only clean up I have witnessed is when the reporting marks have been covered over or if there was something horribly offensive in the graffiti and then the only clean up as been to paint over the obliterated reporting mark and then paint new marks over that tiny patch, or to paint over or sanblast the offending graffiti enough such that it is unrecognizable as being offensive.
