Postby BurlingtonJohn » Fri May 26, 2017 11:41 pm

83 years ago today, 9900 rolled into history. Everywhere west! (location West Quincy Missouri, photographer unknown, my collection).

If memory serves this one's fully preserved and indoors in its own special display, correct? (at work so no time to look it up atm)

If I didn't know from experience, I wouldn't be able to tell if that was the head end or tail end of a train.

It'll never happen, but that museum should consider making that train roadworthy and run an occasional public excursion to raise money for their on-going costs.
And the people get to see it as it was then.
