One for NYCMan

Postby BurlingtonJohn » Thu Jun 22, 2017 4:55 pm

Since neither Fitz nor I will be riding behind 4449 this weekend, I thought I would post a shot that he might like. At Chicago's Museum of Science & Industry, 28 May 16.

Regards
Burlington John

I am old enough to have seen the 999 outdoors at that museum. I am glad they got that gem under cover. She looks fabulous! :D

Thanks, John, and I sure wish we were both going along with 4449 and crew this weekend. I'm glad 999 was preserved. In other NY Central stuff, did you see what the 765 crew did in Chicago? They went to LaSalle St. Station and had the NYC Hickory Creek bringing up the rear with the 20th Century Limited sign on the back. Somehow they also convinced the folks that ran the arrival/departure board, now electronic, to display that same 20th Cenrury Limited plus their own Rock Island thing. Steam people have more fun than anyone.
