Steam comes to Como Colorado

Postby tom c » Sun Aug 20, 2017 3:45 pm

For the first time since 1937, a steam engine moved there. The South Park Rail Society has brought Klondike Kate from Oklahoma to steam again here. She is a 2-6-2 and is just right for this small demonstration line. Here is a link to Youtube for a video of her on Boreas Pass RR days. Her official unveiling.

Watched the video. I like that little Prairie, AND it's authoritative whistle. Do you have any information on what the plans are for its future?
Since it's in the area of South Park, they'll need to keep an eye out for one Eric Cartman. He can ruin their day.

Mark and others, for more info, go to their web site. Please donate a small or large amount as this is a worthy project. I hope to stop by there next week. I will warn them if I can find anyone to talk to during the week.

Nice web site. Will do on the donations.
Wish I could go out there, but not in the cards.
Dropped in here, but gotta' run.
