Interesting stuff.
How is the Friends of the 261 handling the new tariffs and rules?

Sucks to be a car owner these days. It's going to hurt the 261 operation big time, not only for reasons of Amtrak annulling all single trips but it is much more difficult to operate the cars behind normal Amtrak trains to help offset the costs of operating a steam engine. I've been expecting something like this to happen, but I never thought it would be this all encompassing.
Yet, there must be something I don't know because I've noticed our Duluth trip this spring sometime is still being advertised on the 261 website.
