gwr, I have made a few bell patterns in my 27 years as a pattern maker. The way I have made them is the way you have it drawn. That way you can take your pattern to the foundry and they can cast it loose if you only need one or two castings. Most foundries like to have 3/16" wall thickness, so you m...

Kelly, I have a Johnson heat treat furnace that I got out of a school shop that I might be willing to part with. It is 5" X 8" X 14" deep it runs on any kind of gas. PM me and we can work something out. Dave C

Todd, Big D and ghorn have it correct from my 27 years in the biz. I started a pattern shop 3 years ago, and one of my customers is an aluminum foundry. I was there today, and he told me he keeps the pot temp at 1440 degs. and degases with nitro. 1340 degs is a good pouring temp. He said to get star...
