I got in touch with Jerry who used to work for Anilam and he had me check and re-seat all of the IC's on the boards and the old girl fired right back up.

Yes it is a rack and pinion drive table.

Glenn, Vactra #2 is ISO68 and seems to cause the table to "float" b/c of the viscosity causing some finish problems. I was looking for an ISO32 oil to try to cut down on that issue. I could go to a Vactra #1 but it is hard to find in anything less than 5 Gallon pails. Best price I have fou...

Any suggestions on a way oil for my manual Doall 6x18? I have thought about Mobil DTE24 and also Vacuoline 1405. If you have any input please let me know. I thought tackifiers in Vacuoline 1405 might cause some stickiness.

Anyone ever hear of spinning the grinding wheel several times by hand before starting the surface grinder and making sure that the wheel is still spinning when you start the machine? In the proper direction of course.

Didn’t you put a treatise on surface grinding settings somewhere on the board? I know you outlined depth and step over etc. can you point me to it or possibly post it again here?

Any ideas how to easily enter a % after every 200 blocks of code? I have an Anilam Crusader M control on my mill and it has the drip feed option through RS232.
