Thank you. Will check that tomorrow.warmstrong1955 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2018 10:43 pmIt’s not a matter of play.
It’s about alignment. You should have an adjustment to tilt the non-driven wheel to make the blade track.

Re: Greenlee Bandsaw
Guides seem tight enough. Both wheels do not have play.

Blade keeps coming off when cutting. Have tried different tensions, but no difference. What could be the cause and solution? Thank you.

DRO for milling machine or lathe
Certainly, having DRO for milling machine and lathe would be ideal. Having to decide on which to add on first is what I'm contemplating now. Both milling machine and lathe a manual old iron. Any thoughts?

Re: What to do with surface grinder?
I would happily send it to you for a fee and shipping cost. Essentially everything I have, except my wife and cat, are for sale (for the right price).

Re: What to do with surface grinder?
Took a look at Stan Zinkowski's channel and have found it interesting. Certainly not the most "scientific" but very good for someone such as myself who has no experience with the machine. Tom Lipton is good too. I've found Suburban Tool to be great as well. Much more precise than I might need, but g...

Re: What to do with surface grinder?
Just received a note from Photobucket that I've been using it too much for 3rd party hosting. didn't realize there was a problem with doing that. What host would you recommend for storing images? God I hate Photobucket slow loading, popups !! I have a B-S 6-18 2A ,2 axis hydraulic power feeds and co...

Re: What to do with surface grinder?
Will play around with the machine after getting some dressing diamonds and then decide is it's something I'm going to use. If so, having additional wheels/hubs will be certainly on the list of add-ons. Thank you. A Boyar-Shultz 6x12 is probably the Ford F150 of surface grinders. It's a workhorse, ev...

Re: What to do with surface grinder?
Have a bunch of blocks and clamps for use with the mill and I guess I could use them with the grinder to HSS sharpening since none of those angles are super precision. Thank you. I have a set of blocks that hold different sizes of HSS bits. The sides are cut at angles (different ones on each side) s...

Re: What to do with surface grinder?
Good suggestions. Thank you. Before I do anything else, I still have to figure out what to do with it. I don't have anything in mind when it comes to grinding. Since you purchased a package ( lathe and mill ) I'll assume you have no tooling so here's a few ideas For the mill - True up the vice jaws ...
