Just out of curiosity, where can I go to get drawings for box car ends. I am considering
cutting a mold.

Re: Making Boxcar Ends
I would to suggest an alternative to the stamping process. How about looking at plastic car ends.
There are a lot of materials out there that can readily processed that can take more of a beating
than out of aluminum.
Actual detail could easy achieved.

Boiler arch for a marine style boiler using propane
Currently firing my engine with propane and at times I can smell incomplete burned propane. I am using a burner from a deep fryer kit which is directed straight into the fire box. I realize that the flame is being directed primarily into the fire tubes with very minimal being deflected to the fire b...

Gasoline electric drive circuit
Several years ago I found a control circuit for a locomotive drive using a gasoline motor to drive an automotive alternator which in turn powered dc motors to the wheels. This was linked to an Australian site I think called SMEX which I can not find. The individual that developed this was using this...

Oil in My Boiler
My little helper was working with me on my engine. She decided to help me
by lubricating the inside of the boiler through one of the safety valve ports.
What is a good way to clean the inside of the boiler?
Any solution to put inside or can somebody direct me to a procedure.

Van Brocklin Automatic cylinder drain location
Would like to use Van Brocklin automatic cylinder drains, I have read where they are not recommended for engines with inclined cylinders. I assume that is based on the placement of the drains parallel with the cylinders. What if the valves were installed such that the centerline of the valve would b...

Haworth valve setting and Johnson Bar
I have set my valve timing have got the engine running on air on my stand. Both forward and reverse are good. I need to set the Johnson bar in neutral position and establish the position of the slide block with regards to neutral. I assume at neutral the valve linkage is in the exact middle of the s...

Re: Induction furnace ratings
Harold
Any chance I could get a copy of the schematic for your unit.
I am investigating going your way with a diesel generator and a used motor generator similar
to your system (german made) but also is water cooled.
I have 480 v 3 phase available but would prefer to keep separate.
Thank you
John
