Re: Project: N&W class J on 5"gauge
Hello everyone Today I was able to take another step towards the finished locomotive. The new light installation with LEDs looks quite good, it is now brighter than with the old lamps. With the freshly painted front, the locomotive has regained its distinctive nose. Also i attached the Company Plate...

Re: Norfolk Western Y6B live steam First Run
Hi Guys,
what an awesome model of the Y6 class.
We also build a Y6b here in Germany, and the compound system run very good, we also installed a booster valve so you can give fresh steam on the bigger front cylinders, fun to run.

Re: Project: N&W class J on 5"gauge
Hey apm my Dad always liked this small engines. They were build in a high number of pieces. He liked that rusty, leaky uncleand unrepaired look of those engines. And another advantage, my Dad is able to load this model alone without help and you can put in the car, no need to run slow with a Trailer...

Re: Project: N&W class J on 5"gauge
you are on the home stretch! Looks great! What's your next locomotive going to be? Could always do a 1 inch scale narrow gauge East Broad top or Rio grande, or a N&W 4-8-0 for something smaller. The next one is almost finished, a chinese C2 narrow gauge locomotive, we've build it in the last 2 ...

Re: Project: N&W class J on 5"gauge
Hello everyone, After many, many hours of cleaning the brass paneling I could apply the paint so today I was finally able to put the boiler back on the chassis today. It's a great feeling to see the machine so complete again, even though there's still a lot of work to do, it was still an important s...

Re: USA Trip from San Francisco to Las Vegas
Christian, sorry to be of little help here as that is the opposite side of the country for me, but sometime in late May to July or August I am supposed to be in Hamburg, is there any way to see those beautiful locomotives in Germany later on in the summer? If you can squeeze it in, Chama New Mexico...

USA Trip from San Francisco to Las Vegas
Hello everyone, My club colleague and I are visiting the USA from the beginning to the end of May. We are from Germany and would like to visit a few live steam clubs on our route from San Francisco via LA to Las Vegas. The Sacramento live steamer is scheduled for May 4th. Maybe we'll meet one or two...
