Re: Review of Multifix Toolpost from Create Tool.

Oh, the Multifix is the way to go. No messing with the top nut to rotate the whole post and tool.I'm going to pick up a few more holders down the road before they possibly get more $.

Re: Review of Multifix Toolpost from Create Tool.

Finally getting around to a boring job down the road. I have the "A" size set from Create with the H2085 boring/turning tool holder and wondering how to hold a 1/4" boring bar in it. I was thinking of cutting in half an appropriately diameter hex rod to use as a shim under the boring ...

Re: Review of Multifix Toolpost from Create Tool.

John, why did you modify the cutoff holder and do you have a pic?

BTW, Nina @ Create Tool replied about the "A" series cutoff tool. She stated the max size blade that can be used is 3/32"W(2.3mm) x 1/2"H(12.7mm). This definitely helps because I can find that size blade easily.

Re: Review of Multifix Toolpost from Create Tool.

Thank you John! I finally found a diagram of the "A" and "E" series posts which helps determine the sizing for the lathe. From what you say and the diagrams it looks like the "A" series is my best bet. Also, the "E" series holders are more $. Gonna put my orde...

Re: Review of Multifix Toolpost from Create Tool.

Sorry to necropost this guys. I'm looking at the Create Multifix clone for my 12x36 G4003G. John, how's the "A" series size working for you? I'm trying to decide which one to go with...A series or E series. Lastly, after all this time would you recommend the Multifix setup? Thanks.
