Re: Help identify a welder
Didn't study all the info you sent, but it looks like the welding cable fittings---what I need is a hook up for a Lincoln wire feeder---was hoping someone offered one that only required attaching the terminal ends to a pin type plug. I will check all the sites you have mentioned, just to see if I mi...

Re: Help identify a welder
I would consider this an industrial machine well suited for a fab shop. I did not read the manual, but I skimmed through it, it has some interesting features and claims to fame. It would be interesting to see how well it burns wire and if it lives up to it's claims! According to the literature it h...

Re: Need hard to describe window release wrench
A clock key may be your best bet, anything that has an OD of .190 is likely to have a .125 square drive----try any antique shops or used furniture places to see of you can find a key, they often have dozens of them around.

Re: Cincy Mill
I emailed Bob Rowe, he doesn't have parts for the Cincinnati Toolmasters--does have 2 Toolmasters for sale---but I sort of got the impression that the Toolmasters he sells are a brand name of "Toolmaster", rather than a model name of a Cincinnati Mill---but, I could be wrong.Nice guy thoug...

Cincy Mill
Recently acquired a Cincy Toolmaster--1-C, and need some items such as handwheels, cranks and a knee crank.
Is there a dealer like Joe at Plaza Machinery that deals with Cincy used or reproduction parts?
Thanks for any help or advice.

Re: Help identify a welder
Thanks guys, I went to the site and there is some info available there; Have a couple of follow up questions if you don't mind; Is this the type of machine that can be used in a fab shop, it will be used daily under moderate to severe conditions, it will be used inside a building. Is there an adapte...

Help identify a welder
Trying to help a friend identify a welder he bought at auction. As background, it is red and it was in with a group of Lincoln welders, but it was the only one not showing a Lincoln label, I have searched both the Lincoln and miller sites with no luck trying to look it up by the serial number and th...

Re: Can I (should I) turn down a cracked cymbal
I just happened to know the world's foremost cymbal repairman, and he related the following tips to me. He was a machinist who worked in a shop that repaired and rebuilt wood working machinery, (remember, this was 40 years ago) and the boss had a son who was a long haired, unshaven and frequently un...

Re: I'm done with Harbor Freight
No problems yet with the tape measure or magnetic dish or linked v-belt. Other stuff… was a less than satisfactory experience. I'm fairly certain that I'll succumb to Lorelai's call again, though. --earlgo Their tarps and bungee cords seem to work OK! And remember, you can get 20% off with the coup...

Re: OT: Building in isolated location
Have you considered buying two (or more) 40 ft containers? Using 4 you could stack two atop the other two and have instant two sides of your barn. Insulate one to utilize as your apartment--space between them wide enough for your machinery, metal freespan roof and ends. Lots of plans online for conv...
