Re: David Sclavi
My heart and prayers goes out to the family. I am overwhelmed by Dave's passing. I knew him for many years and he was a mentor and a good friend. Yes he could be contentious and I enjoyed our 'back and forth' but we were always on the same page. Because of him, I am proud to carry on some of his pro...

Re: Iron Horse Supply Corp has website!
Hi All! As a single individual trying my hardest to bring the A5a back to life plus working on other supporting items to resurrect, I have elected not to put my phone number on the website. I prefer to stay concentrated on tasks at hand without interruptions from phone calls. True, phone calls are g...

Re: Atlantic locomotive
Here is my #462 at the Ridge Live Steamers track. E6 at Ridge 2022s.JPG The late Norman Gracy and I combined efforts for this build. And yes she needs a true set of drivers. Walt, I'll be calling. The engine number came from Norman telling people "I have a 460 - too!" Check her out leading...

Re: Headlight dimmer option for an RMI?
Update - Called RMI and Bill pointed out they they have a retrofit kit for the early electric loco's. It can be found on their website by drilling down some. Sent a follow up email and waiting on a quote.

Re: Headlight dimmer option for an RMI?
Thanks Greg. As the relays and power voltage are on the loco, thinking of replacing the two position switch on the control box with a three position version (off-dim-on) using a spare wire, will need to verify that there is a an unused pin first. Run this to a relay and the PWM you mentioned to the ...

Headlight dimmer option for an RMI?
Good evening! Question for folks that have an RMI loco, is there a headlight dimmer that can retrofit into a controller Model 2020? The headlight is very bright and would be very gentlemanly to dim for oncoming traffic. Thanks for any input/ideas!

Re: Blind drivers
FYI - do a search for 'Blind Driver' in this Live Steam group and you will find many threads devoted to this subject with good answers. Example thread "blind driver Post by hoppercar » Sun Sep 15, 2019 3:41 pm" May want to do same search in the Riding Scale Railroading as well. Have been g...

Re: South Bend Live steam?
Laughing! - My mentor, the late Norman Gracy, would comment why we were such good friends: It was because we lived 3 hours apart!
