Re: 2/12" Scale Brake Valves

I know this was asked a few years ago, but would you ever consider making the S-6 steam capable? Also will the H-6 be capable of automatic vacuum?

Re: Low water mark

NP317 how did you or where did you get your gauge glass from? I'm trying to find or learn how to build one for 2.5" scale. Planning for my eventual build of my engine. Good to also know where to set my gauge glasses now.

Re: Allen engine modifications

You're definitely not long, considering we had our own machine shop, however, I was a nuke and that reason was to continue research in alternate fuel sources instead of coal or lpg. I ended up getting more training on primary maintenance but also was trained to work on steam plant equipment in the e...

Re: Signal Complexity

Hey everybody, if you want to see complex, the society I'm currently apart of has a full operating system with shunt capabilities against the normal flow on our system. We have 3 signal boxes, one of which can control our entire system with 96 levers in total. It's located in SW London and it is an ...

Re: SRRL #23 First Run in Maryland

Could anyone help point me in the direction of sourcing the dual indicator gauge in the cab? I’m assuming it’s a dual vacuum gauge indicator which is what the society I’m a part of uses for train brakes. I’m planning to build Southern Pacific Narrow Gauge #9. So currently I’m in the planning stages ...

Re: Allen Tender project

Is the tender built for a ten wheeler? Also is the bin between the water legs of the tender removable so it can become a coal bunker?

Re: Oh. Forgot I had that....

I'm guessing by being a month behind that the couplers and trucks are all gone? I wish I would have known, I have a friend nearby that could have picked them up for me so I could use them on my locomotive I'm slowly collecting parts to start building.

Re: Pyle National Turbo generator MO-6

If I found one for sale and the seller allowed payments. I would buy one in a heart beat. Being in the lower end of the military limits expenditures on certain things. So unless someone has any idea for how I can take my castings to fully functional. I may still end up buying one as stated above if ...

Re: Pyle National Turbo generator MO-6

I will say, building regulators in general can be easy. Making one of that size can be hard considering the tolerances. I work with air and steam based regulators as a nuke mechanic so you could machine one, it just depends on wanting an external pressure sensing line or an internal one. Each has it...
