Also some of the wheels have some small chips on them I know at one point Glen talked about pressing new wheels on is this instead of turning new wheels because this would be cheeper.? seems like I have seen wheels on some sight that were not too expensive. I know my son could turn new wheels howeve...

I was grading thge site for a few hours today and decided to take a break and take 2 tracks and lay out without any ties to see how the trucks respond to a mild curve they bdid not like it at all the two peices were equally bent and am thinking that this is not how track would be layed would the ins...

great info good i saw this befor i ordered the rock was ready to order 5-8 ths minusas i have used this for driveway. hope my local supplier has the washedand crushed. will order this comming week is there a rule of thumb on how many yards to run of track? also my track is all 10 foot sections both ...

well im not quite at the bolt down stage of the track but all this info is very interesting. Also a little confusing. Is12 lb track something different than normal small guage track. I know the stuff i have is real stiff at least the hard way? it can be flexed with some efort the easy way. for ease ...

I dont have any ties probable ill use 4by4 pres treated an 8 foot peice should yeild 3 peices I had thought about using 2 by 6 however i dont see that being used on many sets . Thank you Terry I will get pictures posted at some time although Glenn has posted some from when he was considering purchasing this set. The rail is rail shaped steel lots of rust on some sections all are 10 feet long mostley straight maybe 80 peices in total so about 400 feet . There are 3 holes on...

dont know about re guageing sounds like replacing all the trucks might get quite expensive. I had thought leaving it all orignal would be the way to go is there a plus side to narrower width trucks?

Thankyou Glenn the antique store owner gave me a rail bender that is homemade and neither me or my son do not understand how it is suposed to work. He said that we are suposed to use a hydrolic ram like a log spliter to do the bending. I will post a pic at some point to see if anyone has an idea how...
