Re: I bought a Lathe

I appreciate your advice John, but I am going to muddle through with it. I really am wanting to learn how they work and learn how to k=make parts for go-karts.

Re: I bought a Lathe

Can I install a Tumbler on this with the shaft sticking out. and do I need to use the transformer. I know I need a Spindle Gear and I found a Back Gear Spindle Step Pulley that I think I can install on the main shaft. I added a link to photo bucket. http://s276.photobucket.com/user/oakdust/library/A...

I bought a Lathe

Bought it dirt cheap, now I need to change it over to a regular lathe. Currently the lathe is setup to make drums for printing presses. Not for metal turning. One carriage moves to the right while the other moves left. Has anyone ever seen one like this or used it. Any help on locating parts for it ...
