Re: Bosch AB 33 magneto
As an experiment could I use 2 fishing magnets 1 on each side to see if I get a good spark, if so I would get the original magnets recharged.
Just a thought.

Re: Bosch AB 33 magneto
Is there a means of adding more magnets on top of the existing? I did use keepers when I removed the magnets, aside from a weak spark how can I tell if the magnets are strong enough?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Energy Rotary spool valve
Our 2 newer locomotives have the drift valves. The 2 older ones do not, none have brakes they rely on feathering the valve for control.

Re: Energy Rotary spool valve
Exactly the pic I was going to post, don’t quite understand the drawing, if the handle is in the center position there should be no fluid flow , correct? this valve was mfg. in ‘98 and I believe fluid is somehow leaking by, rebuild kits only have “O” rings I believe, if the spool is worn I don’t thi...

Energy Rotary spool valve
Good evening, I am trying to understand the operation of this valve, the valve has what I assume to have 3 positions, right (forward) left (reverse) and center position which I assume should have no flow and act as the stopped position, I am correct.
The valve P/N 10240 .

Re: 30 amp alternator
Thanks, from what I remember seeing, the alternator was connected directly to the shaft with a Love Joy coupling.
