Help with Clausing 6535 Gear Box Leak
Just bought a 15 in. Clausing-Colchester 6535 lathe. The quick change gear box has a leak. Can anyone provide information on what is the likely culprit and what is involved in reparing the leak?

Re: Lifting points for Clausing-Colchester 15x48?
Gary, What a great way to lift, seems so simple NOW that I see the fixture, why didn't I think of it. You can place the fixture so its right over CG so it lifts flat. Since I'm not in a hurry to get the lathe off the trailer and I will have a fork lift available, I plan on making the lifting fixture...

Re: Lifting points for Clausing-Colchester 15x48?
Mike,
When you say bolt 4 x 4's you mean at 90 deg. to long. axis, like "outriggers"?
The lathe is not where I can see it but will check when it gets here.
Thanks for you input.

Can anyone who has done a lot of rigging ever lifted this one before, and if so recommendations? I will have availa...
