Twisted a many of 1/2" railing pickets in a pipe. But 1 1/2 would be a grunt.

Re: Shop lighting - problems
Had the same problems with mine (4) . One was constantly giving problems. Changed the ballast, didn't help.Sometimes twisting the bulb would help. Sometime it would not be a problem for weeks. I added a small overhead hoist to my shop. To avoid running another wire to the overhead plug, I just tappe...

Re: Dumb Bridgport question
Mines still on the machine. Never knocked my forehead on it, but seldom use it.
I have often wondered why they are always missing on machines. You seldom see one on a machine at auctions.

Re: cracked 22 shells -- OT
Noticed this post the other day. I called CCI inquiring as to whether the make .22 short in the aluminum case. The guy I spoke too said that they were not making it in .22 because they had problems with "cracking". I was inquiring because of a problem with the Gattling gun firing pin not s...

Re: Gattling Gun
No,the threads are almost to the edge now. The barrels are less than 1/2" and are almost together when screwed in. Thats the reason they are hexed on the end, to tighten them. To make the ring larger waould entail changing the whole set up. The chambers must line up. I guess this is one of the ...

Re: Gattling Gun
I went the liner route. MISTAKE. The first set I made turned out to be too thin at the muzzle end where thet had to be cut down to a hex. Machined through the tube and made a bad looking job. On the second set I used thicker walled tubing and drilled it to fit the liner. 5/16. That solved that probl...

Re: Gattling Gun
This one shoots .22 cal shorts. This one is not as large as what it may appear in the pic. The barrels are 12" long, the assembly is probably 20"The wheels are 16" dia. Maybe that will put in in a little better perspective. It does look more massive in the pics, but just a 22.

14" Rockwell lathe Taper Attachment
Does anyone on here have a 14" Rockwell with a taper attachment, or even a manual that shows one. Just purchased an attachment that was supposed to be for an 11". It closely resembles the one for mine, but is larger. Would like to find out what it fits.

Re: Another Newbie question
Cutting across 16" with a hacksaw would be fun. Cut-off with a guide would be better. I think I would just take it to a shop that has a shear. They may feel sorry for you and cut it off for 5.00 bucks.
