Another ph converter question

I have a sliding table saw with an Italian 5Hp motor and was wondering if there is a VFD capable of converting 220V 1ph to 220 3ph at 5 hp?
And maybe a 3 to 5 hp metal lathe in the future.
Thanks

Re: Wheel bearing question

Thanks Gents,
I will check out the thin washer aspect.
So I guess it might be caused by not enough threads to get enough preload?

Wheel bearing question

Recently bought a used 18' travel trailer. I was just checking the wheel bearings , when I discovered one wheel bearing that I could not adjust. Usually I tighten the nut till wheel shows some resistantce to turn, then back off to the next spot. I can still detect excessive play. It seems that the i...

6x284 mauser

I have a project Mauser, new barreled action that I am going to start and would like to know the best & safest way to check out the chamber specs. I have had it for 35 yrs. No fire formed brass, so thats out. I guess I could resize & fireform a few 6.5x284 rounds via reduced load, for measurements. ...

Thanks, Dennis

I think I have read about every post there is on chambering/barreling etc. I have since discovered that there is about 5" of spindle sticking out the back that I can remove. I guess it was for a collet closer which I don't need. My lathe is a 16X60 Sebastian ( 60 yrs old but true as can be) I...

Amen

I live about 8 mi. from the wettest place on earth, and about 4 mi. from the biggest pond in the world. However any one who shows up will have to make friends with our two dogs.

I am in favor of knowing who answers my ongoing list of questions no matter how dumb.

Thanks Loads & Aloha, Les

Spindle Bore cleanup?

I read on one of the forums about someone boring there spindle. No details were given. So I was wondering if this would be even remotely possible to accomplish while on the machine. My machine is a 1940/43 era Sebastian with a 1.450" ID X 27" spindle. It appears that the gun drill got stuck and was ...

Well I ended up ordering thru Cummins West. It seem like they have swallowed up Onan.

Most small engine parts stores only carry the normal stuff like oil filters, sparkplugs, etc. Probably cuz they have to go thru Cummins.

Thanks for your help, Les
