Rail spacing for 7-1/2” gauge Equipment

What rail spacing are you using on curve track for 7-1/2” equipment? And why?

7-9/16” or 7-5/8”?

Thanks

Tubing for Smoke Box

I am looking for a piece of tubing/pipe to make my smoke box. The OD is 85" that scales to 11.333" OD. Do they make 11-1/2" steel tubing?

Thanks

It could also be cast in 2 pieces and soldered together.

I use a stencil and paint all my lettering. If you use a low pressure airbrush it does not bleed under the stencil.

Re: tire shrinkage

I also use 0.001” per inch plus 0.001”.

I just did some 8” drivers and it was right on.

On a side note the axle bore shrunk 0.0002” after I installed the tires. I had to take that much off the arbor I was using to turn the wheels.
