Re: <<<< LITTLE ENGINES HAS BEEN SOLD>>>>
Congratulations Mike. I wish you all the best and thank you for saving the Little Engine 1 1/2 inch scale line. I hope that you exhibit at the local shows.

Re: LE Northern
Todd,
I have been working on one for more years than I care mention. My goal is to make appear as a C&O Greenbrier from 20 feet.

Rob Gardner - have you made any progress with your web page proposal?
I'm making slow progress with my Greenbrier and have found an original erection print for the early engine that I'm modeling.

Re: C&O Live Steam
Jesse, et al, Thanks for all the information and confirmation that #35 chain should work. As Charles stated a break should not be show stopper. I just worry too much, let's see if the chain breaks knots up an jams the axle! I'll put the sprocket on the last driver before final assembly and worry abo...

Re: C&O Live Steam
Charles, You are correct with the sprocket and wheel diameters. If size 35 chain is strong enough I could use 25 and 14 tooth sprockets with wheels of 10" and 5.6". The 10" is the standard LE driver size. The 5.6" could squeezed out of the castings intended to be 5.5". But I...

Re: C&O Live Steam
Leonard, If someone with those Modeltecs could look and let me know if they discussed chain size and problems with the truck pivoting I would be most appreciative. I would like to contact John and get his view of the practicalities. You could send the contact information off list. Joe

Re: C&O Live Steam
Andy, Thanks for the offer but I've already decided to live with the LE 10" drivers and have already machined them. They are larger then the scaled C&O by either .14" or .44" depending on whether I assume 1.55"/ft or 1.60"/ft. Also I'm going to live with the LE C-C drive...

Re: Driver and axle assembly
I don't feel secure in the use of a form of glue to attach 10 in drivers to a 15/16 in. axle.
