Re: Q: Trustworthy Source For Genuine Gillette Razor Blades ?

My experience with electrics was 40 years ago; maybe they improved. I found they worked great for the first month, then started pulling and ripping instead of cutting . . . Just bought a bag of big name disposables that were on sale. They're so bad, I think I'm going to toss them, and I rarely toss...

Re: Q: Trustworthy Source For Genuine Gillette Razor Blades ?

There are quite a few good answers about this topic. SteveM and armscor really got me rethinking about razor blades. I dont doubt that I dont need 5 blades to shave well. I was looking for 5 blade Gillettes simply because I have a 5 blade razor. I should look for a razor that holds the double edge l...

Re: Q: Trustworthy Source For Genuine Gillette Razor Blades ?

You think it's bad with razor blades, you should see what we contend with in the electronics parts business. I know that Hakko is having a problem with fake soldering tips being sold on ebay. I spoke directly to Hakko about this. Hakko is able to tell if the tips are fake because of an algorithm sy...

Re: Q: Trustworthy Source For Genuine Gillette Razor Blades ?

Well, those feathers look great but I dont have the safety razor for them, so thats moot. I have a straight razor but I'm too paranoid about using it; watched too many mafia movies. I have the fusion ball flex head and the original blades last a long time for me [over a year] "if" I use th...

Q: Trustworthy Source For Genuine Gillette Razor Blades ?

Does anyone know who is a trustworthy source of genuine first quality Gillette Fusion Razor blades? As I searching for the best online price for the Fusion blade refills, I came across some posts that claimed counterfeit razor blades are being sold. I think its mostly an online issue but I'm not sur...

Re: Cant find any Gel flux for AL brazing

Thank you. I will check out that product. Didnt even think of McMaster. :o I rarely buy from them. I should get familiar with their catalog again. Been years since I looked at one.

Cant find any Gel flux for AL brazing

Just as the title says, I have not been able to find any "GEL" type flux. Everything seems to be powder types. Powders seem ok if the work-piece is flat, but not for vertical work? I can mix them with water but they still dont adhere well to the work surface, if at all. Can I mix the powde...

I actually did that, Its not hard to do, It does work to some extent but it is limited in how well it runs out also, ergo, the my question.

Re: Q: How to separate spark plug wires from the boots

Of course I can and would buy a new set of wires if they were in bad condition. But these are in good condition and I see no point in doing that all the time. What happens is that the inside connector gets loose and I have a wire crimper for plug ends, so I prefer the fix instead.

Q: How to separate spark plug wires from the boots

Hello guys, I have a set of Bougicord brand spark plug wires that the boots seem to be vulcanized to the wire that goes thru them. They seem inseparable. If they are not vulcanized, then your guess is a good as mine how they are so well adhered to each other. But it seems that if I had a very long, ...

Re: Q: Need some boot purchasing advice

Choose wisely. Unless I can fit them out on my feet, I would be wary of Amazon and any other best guess fit. I always seem to have a problem with mail order footwear, almost for certain if it is a brand or even a model I am not familiar with. I purchased some Vasques from some Redwing boot seller, ...

Re: Q: Need some boot purchasing advice

Look at Matterhorns. We wore 'em in the mine. Warerproof, oil-proof, mud-proof, hard toe....come in insulated, and non, and hold up better that any other work boot I have worn. Rough duty in a mine..... They are spendy, but not if you figure by the mile. Bill Hello Bill, I assume Matterhorn is a US...
