Got a little more time into the project! got the front cylinder covers made, fit fine! grabbed the steam chest and covers and located them with 2 bolts just see how the power egg is building up!! also working on making a run of stock snifer valves for allen models.

The coupler pocket i am showing is a Supper Power Detail one for another engine i have on the shelf, does any one happen to have an extra one on hand?

I was able to get a little time on my Allen tenwheeler over the weekend, i got probably the most critically altered parts cut out and a few holes drilled, the front frame extensions. the cylinders where moved back 1.25 inches , and the front sections where bobed back like anothe 7/8 of an inch! the ...

here are the driver axle boxes, ready to install the bearings, the little holes are for removing the pressed in bearings when they need to be removed. and the spring sadle that goes on the front axle box, contains the springs when installed

Here are the pedastal binders i will be using, will fit them to use the outer toes to lock the frame tight, this way you can drop an axle set with out having to remove the bottom bar on the original design, Steve uses Binders on the new precut frames

okay, for the frames for this locomotive there is going to be some changing of things. Steve Currently offers a fantastic set of precut frames. but in this case they would not really fit my build. as i am scrunching the nose up a bit, the old school style of frame as originally drawn on the drawings...
