Re: Caliper battery covers
What program did you design them in? I have at least one caliper missing the battery cover.
I would love to have the STL.

Re: types of coal
Just want to say I really enjoyed the video. My Grandfather was a Fireman on the Erie Railroad. He was later promoted to Hostler. I never knew how involved the Fireman's job was.

Re: silly question about movie steam locomotives
Thanks for the responses... I know Grampa is smiling down at me. I didn't get to ask many steam questions when he was here, but boy have I got a list when we meet again!

silly question about movie steam locomotives
I get my interest in steam loco's from having a Grandfather that worked on the Erie Lackawanna RR for 50 years. I barely remember seeing steam locos running at the old roundhouse in Scranton, PA in the 50's. I am also a fan of old western movies and tv shows. I often see what appears to be real stea...

Model trains
I know this is a machining/steam enthusiast forum, I've been a member for many years. But, most here are 'Train enthusiasts' also. I have a request that maybe someone here can help me with. My Grandfather was a real railroader on the Erie Lackawanna RR, back in the days of steam. His hobby was, of c...

Steam Whistle notes/sounds/etc
As I'm not a train builder of renown, or at all, I don't expect this thread to go very far. But, I am a steam enthusiast, I build model steam engines, I'm an amateur machinist, and I have a big interest in steam anything. And, my Grandfather was a RR man, a Fireman and Brakeman on the Erie-Lackawann...
