So, I have managed to get this little beastie running on air after remaking lots of parts and correctly installing the levers etc. Cut off is around 90% with slightly late valve events but she runs as smooth as butter on around 2psi, good enough for me as the loco is a starter loco for a newcomer to...

I am rebuilding a 4-4-0 for a friend, it was originally owned by Dave Knowles NJLS who passed away last year.
The locomotive has a fixed valve gear, is it a hybrid or does it have a name ?
Thinking of converting to Walshearts.

Don As Bernie stated, I finished one for him, the loco runs nicely but only after a few modifications, larger ram on the axle pump, improved tender hand pump, water glass re-plumbed.
