anyone here interested in starting a reamer sharing group ,, be nice not to have to buy a new 1 for a single project .. I have 2 now 22 mag and a 12 ga forcing cone reamer .. JB

I modified a holder for some 8 sided tin coated carbide inserts I came into ..the picture is a couple of the chips from a cut I made with my new/old clausing 4800 .. I really thought I was overdoing , but machine and all attachments stayed intact and actually looked and ran better at this depth :) 1...

I need to know how to replace the carbide portion on these tools ,, they appear to be very handy !!! I think the smaller 1 is a hss block that can be ground to preference ? any help appreciated ... JB

yes , I've seen plenty of screws/etc locked from the side ,, just never one on top the other ,, clutch is inop/slips ,, guess those BIG chips I was peeling off were 2 much for the old girl ( now finding a clutch disc { crossing fingers } ..

Redundency in drive system , clausing 4800
Hello all .. on after much beating and thumping, along with some bad words all , to no avail I discovered a 2nd set screw under another in the clutch friction mounting hub .. Is this something that is SOP with machine tools in certain areas ?

hey folks ,, this thing is very easy to take apart ... kinda dirty and had an issues with spindle threads being buggerred pretty badly , and poorly written instructions,, I already made a take up collar tool for any future tear-down ..

Thanks Steve ,, I would do that but am taking it apart for another reason so will go back with a V belt ,, just need to know original size .. oh , did I mention I have owned few things I did not take apart
