The two outside eccentrics are for Forward and the inside are for reverse.

Charlie, my American weighs in at 150 LBS. When finished, I expect around 155 lbs ish. I do not have the stock built up frame. Jeff Tolan, The steam was welded on towards the end. Since this boiler was built, we developed/brought back an old/new throttle design we will be using. It was originally in the Baldwin Mogul. I believe we can make it work in the American as well. See photos.

The boilers we build for the American are all steel. They have 31 - .375" OD seemless tubes. All TIG welded together. The Boiler is 5.5625" OD throughout. There are two flue configuration options, the .375" OD flue (31) or .500" flue (20). We ran our American for 5 hours straight pulling 5-6 Adults....

We use .250" water lines feeding the pumps. Each pump has a dedicated line. They are NOT Tee'd together as per original design. The rams were increased to .250" from .1875".
