Knurling can help with press fits, and likey reduce the stress needed to make very small diamiter press fits without having to be super precise. Iv heard of people reaming out holes using soft metals like copper rods with abrasives that get embeded.. more of a honing I guess.. but likey to help you ...

Iv heard the phaseII rotary tables only leak when horzontal, if vertical the oil more or less stays in place.
(I wonder if the Horzontal only tables leak all the time, or if its just because they made compermises for the vertical)
