I have a Benchmaster mill, it has a 1/2 hp motor which is enough power for me. I can't help with DRO but it sounds interesting.

I like the simplicity of Bill Shields trucks, that is all I require for now, ones that are functional. Gregs' truck frames are ones I would also try to make for looks. The wheels I started making are from 3 inch round stock. I will probably have to touch them up such as the flanges that are too thic...

Riding car trucks
I am in the process of thought to build a 5 inch gauge riding car. I am requiring some plans for the trucks. I have started making the wheels which are 3 inch diameter. Anybody have a link or lead where I can download some drawings would be a help.

I am contemplating to order these valve kits also from PM Research. I would have thought to use a end mill also at first, but now I'll wait and see how it should be done.

I have a Chinese made 4x6 Northern Tool band saw and it worked great right out of the crate. The original blade was pretty low quality, and I have since used a Starrett and now I just replaced it with a Bahco (Snap On) and are both good quality $15 blades. Sorry I don't know how to help you with you...
