Re: Boston & Albany K6b Pacific

At the rate I find time for this engine I should have it steamed up by June 15th.........2030! I have made some progress, The drivers are finally on the axles. I had to make new longer spring perches since the originals were a tad short. Of course now I had to make longer spring hangers.

Re: FOR SALE - Scale Allen Mogul 7 1/2 gauge with tender

WJH,

The engine was built by Wayne Haggen himself. It is a nicely detailed piece, both mechanically and aesthetically.

Dr. Wayne Heggen

With sadness I must announce the passing of another live steamer.
Wayne Heggen lost his battle with cancer. Please keep his family in your prayers.

Re: Boston & Albany K6b Pacific

Goodness, has it really been 14 months? I have been working on the Pacific but not nearly as much as I would like. I finished the front truck. It is a modified Little Engines truck with new side frames and equalizers. The LE truck frames while being a very proven design, was too short for this parti...

Re: Live steam and youth, February 2015

This photo illustrates how much these young men are trusted and respected as live steamers. This is Hunter Fay, grandson of Gordon Fay, Pres. of the Seminole Gulf RR, running Peter Bialecki's Hudson. This was Hunters first time operating a live steamer and he was being coached by David Griggs.
