the only thing that gets to me is when someone is standing around talking and not making any forward progress. I personally dislike any one trying to talk to me when i am loading/unloading or steaming up. this is how mistake happen. I also put a lot of thought in to the loading process. I am able to...

the arch i had in my locomotive when it burned oil did not work with propane, not enough clearance above the front two rows burns. i pulled it and run the locomotive for 8 years with out one. during the last rebuild, I installed a arch/deflector that is much more vertical and it worked wonders IMG_2...

My 2-8-0 runs on 8 solar-type (loco parts) burners and will run the entire weekend (14 hours pretty much non-stop) and have a little left over....but then I do not haul a load....and the firebox is specifically setup to run propane which will probably be a bit more efficient than just putting a bur...
