Re: 4 3/4" Narrow gauge who's done it?

I love the size of narrow gauge equipment in 1.5" scale, and I'm also very surprised that it hasn't been done more often.
Here are the only two I've seen in person (at GGLS):

Ultimately, some day, I'd like to have a WSLCo shay in 4.75" gauge.

Re: 3/4" Hudson Project

I plan to post pictures of my progress, put progress will undoubtedly be slow...

Does anyone sell castings or plans for the pumps that go on the front of the locomotive? The smallest I can find is for 1" scale pumps.

Re: 3/4" Hudson Project

Ahhh, a superheater... makes a lot of sense. Now knowing what it is, I probably won't install it. The smokebox is already pretty cramped with the preheater coil. I'm completely new with live steam when it comes to building. I have a 1" LE pacific, but it was complete and ready to run when I bought i...

3/4" Hudson Project

Hello everyone! I had a great weekend at cabin fever... I snagged this 3/4" yankee shop (friends models) hudson as soon as it was placed on the consignment table. I've posted some pictures of the engine. The boiler, smokebox, and chassis are all separate at this point, but I placed the boiler and sm...

Re: The Future of Live Steaming

Hi everyone, I'm pretty new to the hobby and haven't posted much on this forum, but i read it regularly. Gauge 1 live steam was undoubtedly my gateway drug into the ride on scales. I got Accucraft's forney last december, then a C-19. They're extremely fun to run! But they weren't enough to quench my...
