Well, perhaps I tend to look at things from an idealistic point of view. As has been stated, what is being experienced is to be fully expected from new machinery. I would not have expected that. I just like to measure things and try to figure out why or what is happening. Doesn't always work.

And then I wonder if there would be any useful info gained from indicating the jaw clamping surfaces, by running an indicator along the axis, maybe measure the jaws, make sure they are parallel and what not? so now...
