Depending on what you are looking for LocoParts might be able to help. LocoParts acquired all of the original tooling for the entire Tru-Scale fittings the was developed by Mr Wilson back in the 30's 40's and 50' and sold through Coles. We are in the process of producing new permanent molds to have...

You might want to try putting the part on a hot plate and heating the entire thing up. Thick sections can be difficult

Well, all I can say is that there is a few of us who manage to pour cast iron repeatedly with our home foundry set ups. Might not be the best or easiest way, but we manage... I'm actually looking into building a cupola this summer. I just have to verify that the local supplier does in fact sell coke...

Iron is something I tried many years ago, and found it was too difficult, plus the alloy could not be controlled. Harold, with his Induction Furnace is about the only amateur who could do it correctly. Here is a comment I made awhile back: http://www.chaski.org/homemachinist/viewtopic.php?f=14&...

Sometimes its just a matter of tolerance.... Could you get away with just punching through a pre drilled holed with an 8mm endmill??.

After mounting my 8" tilting rotary table on my new mill I have come to find I'm short of space between the spindle and the top of the work surface by about 4" for doing things like tapping so I've inquired about a riser block from the manufacturer of my mill. In the event they don't make...

couldn't you just grab some steel round stock and whittle out a few?? Or just like the cast finish in specific areas?
