Re: Finally able to do stuff with my CAD drawings!

Great work Stuart, this is a considerable amount of effort you have put in to get that body of work ready. I am sure you will get requests to do parts in 1.1/2 scale as well particularly if it’s unusual or hard to find components. Only comment I may add although given your work to date I am sure you...

Re: EAR 59 class

I thought the two EAR 59’s were built by Severn Lamb but no matter. Years ago I had contact with the guy who owned one of them. He had all the drawings and patterns that whoever built it had made. He sold it on to someone else in the UK who then sold it on to an owner in Holland. The second UK owner...

The K4 certainly likes to run and sitting at the back of his cars powering round the track ...

Re: Burning cooking oil with diesel

Became pretty popular over here with the wide boys till the Inland Revenue cottoned on and made it a requirement that all “unusual” amounts of cooking oil sold in supermarkets had to be reported. I think it was used at 5-1 one mix as there are a number of additives in native diesel the engine likes....

Re: Scale speedometer

I have one on the IPhone called speedometer funnily enough. Good for fan trips when you want to how fast the loco is going. Only trouble is it’s on an Iphone so the battery life suites the design philosophy, fashion accessory not useful gadget. Doubt you would get a circuit of Train Mountain on one ...

Re: "T" bolts on Bridgeport

It’s a long time ago now but I had a recon head fitted to my machine. The 4 bolts are in a captive slot and at one point I think there was a hole to get the “nut” out. I don’t think though you could by luck pop one out and still move it. The guy refitted the recon head while I was there. The four bo...
