I've picked up a 9" smart and brown sabel lathe that came with a rough looking 1/2hp 3 phase motor. I don't have a 3 phase supply so i need to change the motor. I do have a 320 watt single i could fit but would it have enough grunt? Does more power actually equal more cutting ability, or is it...
