Re: Hard time Making Steam
The Tubes are clean, I brushed them every time I get done with it, The Stack is 12" tall, I have a fire poker that is made out of 1/4" round stock and that will not fit between the grates, so there is less that a 1/4 of an inch between the grates. I am guessing the grate bars are 1/16 of a...

I was burning some nice dry hard maple flooring today and it still fires terri...

Re: Steam Cylinder oil
As far as I can tell it was built from castings by a private individual in the 1970's. I found it for sale after we got it from auction, on an expired for sale ad on the Discover Live Steam web site. I did a google search for 1/4 scale Case steam tractors for sale and it came up. We go it on the Mec...

Re: Steam Cylinder oil
Ordered my Oil from Green Velvet, I ordered 1 gallon of 320 cylinder oil and 1 gallon of 220 PB&J oil. Great service, my oil came withing a week of ordering it. Very nice to deal with on the phone. The cylinder oil works great in my 1/4 scale Case as does the PB&J oil.

Steam Cylinder oil
I just aquired a Case 1/4 scale steam tractor. I would like to run this thing in the near future but need to get some steam cylinder oil, I was hoping that what I find will work in the Case and in my 3/4" scale Northern when I get that done. My question is this, where can I buy cylinder oil and...

Re: 3 1/2 gauge track on Ebay
I got done with work early last night so I decided to stretch my track pannels accross the basement floor and put the trex ties under it that I cut out last month and see what the results are. I am very satisfied. I know it's not to scale but it accomplished what I wanted to accomplish, "Portab...
