if you have one of the large metal finned rectifiers, selenium, its proably bad, replace with a new 50v 20 amp full wave bridge or one of the power supplys we talked about.

spro your suggestion of megging the motor insulation to ground is never a bad idea.

there are several models out there even on ebay that will fill the ticket.

not sure of your supply but a 20 ohm resistance should draw 1.2 amps of power. voltage in of 24volts ac to a full wave rectifier should measure out higher than the input. coil could be heating up and shorting out between windings. try 2 12v taillight bulbs in series with the coil. it should glow dim...

my experence with stoves is based on the one i own, it creates its draft with a combustion blower and sucks air thru the grates that way.

as plentiful as the fuel is it is great to see it being used good luck

cant speek for cost but they sell a wax that is quite firm and can be remelted many times to test set up

will given how common vacum motor are for replacements and that all kinds of crud sucks thru most motors of this type. i would replace it the proper abrasive in my shop would be crocus cloth and turn the armature. check fir shorts those brush may shape up are have enough cracking to be junk. talk to...

so its a 40 watt soldering iron. will be ok for lite work on pc boards and small conductors. much of soldering is all about a clean well tinned iron . with out that oxides will form and you will never get the job done. get some old parts and practice practice practtice. it is more skill than mech ap...

look up conduit bending.. edvery bend will have shrink or gain. as eletricians we do a test bend having marked the staring point then so the stub is the legenth we want adjusted that dimension and marking our handel with the final distance for that tool. do the same with your tool https://dengarden....
