I ordered from Online Metals. Their prices seem to be in line with speedy and they use PayPal, so quick transaction. We do have a Metal Supermarket in Portland, but I'll try that out later. Long drive for me. thanks

A3 Steel
The first step in building the A3 is machining the wheels. It looks like I need to get some 2 1/4" steel round bar. My first newbie question is what steel grade should I get for good machining and strength and where to go for the best price? thanks, rex

I like the New Shay, but don't want to get in over my head at the get-go if the A3 is preferable for a rank beginner.
