I believe at Dick McCoy's, Mill Creek Central is 7 5/8 , and at the Pittsburgh, Akron and Western railroad we use 7 5/8

I watched the video the engine has the blower on you're running propane, you don't need a blower to pull draft through the boiler ! only crack it just a little bit ,second when I heard that your fire has propane and running out of steam I thought of my friend he's got the same engine same problem th...

The sheet metal maybe was an attempt to balance even heat through all the flues or to slow the burn time down a bit for better steaming that would be my guess was there an arch in the firebox ? by the way this is a neat old engine can't wait to see it rebuilt!!!!!

One of the reasons why things in the shop move slowly not being able to measure certain distances but only with a tape measure is about as close as you can get! Now I have found a pair of Vernier calipers made in Germany for 75 bucks !! I think 7 ft long reason you asked why I need them that long is...

Very shortly will be able to start welding these four pieces together to form the frame sides, then we'll start building the ends with a coupler pockets in it, then start laying out for hydraulic motor Mount between the axles, and

Back part of angle iron Notch out is where the cab is going to be, the clamped on angle iron is where the Eaton 11 hydrostatic pump well be mounted

Dupont automotive finishes turned into axalta paint I don't know if we can cross-reference it or not I will check with one of the paint guys

I'm curious are you asking what the numbers are about behind the color ? start with the first color lowest number and work your way up on a scale by weight that is the way we mix paint at the body shop I work at let, me know if this helps?

Started working on cutting the bottom of the frames to 2.750 the top part of the frame will be 3.125

Starting on doing blueprints don't know if I should do in AutoCAD? for this engine just out of curiosity if anybody would be interested in building this locomotive !I May build a few frames to sell if anybody shows interest, also having trouble figuring out how to post correct size pictures I've pos...
