Bought Shoptask 1720 XM TC with CNC/ Mach 3 Turn
Well now I've fallen in and hope that I'll be able to swim. Came across a very good deal, "I hope," on a 3-In-1 Shoptask 1720 XM TC with CNC. Mach 3 Turn is the CNC. Came with hoards of tooling, two tool posts, face plate, two drill chucks, 3-jaw and 4 jaw chucks, computer, large power sup...

Re: Ordered Grizzly G0619 (SX3)
Hi, I have an SX3L, and when I received it I had to disassemble the column in order to be able to put it on the stand. The column is held by 4 large hex head bolts at its base. There are also 2 guiding pins between the base and column, so be careful not to bend those. We used 2 large screwdrivers t...

Craftsman/Atlas 618 Lathe Purchase
I picked up this Craftsman/Atlas 618 lathe, 1939 or 1940 model, about three weeks ago and have been working on it about every day making it better and better. The cutting speed of the cutter is measured in feet per minute, as the larger the diameter, the slower it must rotate. This al...

Re: Ordered Grizzly G0619 (SX3)
I already have the "Throne of Royalty" in place and am wondering how I will get it from my driveway, where UPS will deliver it, to the backyard and into my modest little wooden floored shop. I put a 3/4" plywood shoring under the pan to distribute weight and strengthen the cheapo stan...

Ordered Grizzly G0619 (SX3)
Mr. Newbie here and hello to all. Just ordered a Grizzly G0619 (SX3) but unfortunately it won't be in stock till mid February. Haven't had a lathe and mill in about 7 years and didn't have time to really pursue their use as a hobby so I sold them. Now, being retired, I find that I have the time to &...
