Re: Franklin C-1 booster
Hello Rwilliams, I built a C-2 (non operating) on my Santa Fe L.E. Pacific. I used Jack's universal joints and exhaust castings and scratch built the rest. It had to fit under the cab and meet other clearance issues, to don't get too hung up on exact sizing and details. Most of the unit is hidden un...

Hello Glenn, I have Bucyrus-Erie blueprints of a 150 ton railroad crane. The are not complete prints of the crane, but show everything you will need from frame to boom. They show much of the crane's workings with dimensions. If you are serious about building a crane, I'll sent you these prints, I do...

Hello Tim,
Slick idea. I like it and would like to buy one set to try out. Your post doesn't show how you would like to be contacted and payment arranged. Could you provide that info? Thanks!

Re: Winton 2-6-0 1 1/2"
Hello Astor Meds, I can't speak for Bob P., but I would like to know how to access your digitized files. I have no prints at all of the tender or it's trucks. I came up with my own way of joining the tender shell to the frame, but I'd sure like to know what Winton had intended his builders to do. I ...

Hello Bob, If you can't get it from Jeff, I have the print. However, it was a flame cut piece from Winton, and so the print contains few dimensions. You could scale it off the print if your copy would be full size. Call me or email, let's talk anyway. I'm just finishing my Winton 2-6-0 and wold love...

Hello Geof, I have to say that your truck bending jig is Genius! The flexibility that it offers to form radius's and curves is second to none. It is the ability to add simple follower blocks and forming curves that make this design outstanding! Thank-you for showing that detail to us. I will remembe...

Hello folk, I'm putting the finishing touches on a Winton 1.5" mogul. Engine is complete but the tender is still a work in progress. Winton did many things right, but did us no favors with a cast aluminum tender shell and frame. Machining a mating surface on something bigger that my milling tab...

Hello Dan, Well the cone headed rivets are indeed nice, it's the awesome dry pipe covering that caught my eye. It's a work of art! I struggled with mine and compared to yours, I was just playing in the sand. Nice, nice job.! How did you form the top portion of the flange and first downward course of...

Super Scale Cylinder Cock Valve
Hello Folks, With the passage of Barry at Super Scale, we lost the 3 way cylinder cock valve that he produced. I'm now looking for a replacement valve to do what his valve did. I have looked at McMaster-Carr but I didn't find what I'm looking for. Barry's valve was compact and fit on the fountain ju...

Re: DAVE SCLAVI HAS MOVED!
Hello Dave, Good to hear you're fine and still kickin". A small point admittedly, but any status updates on your nifty little wrenches for starting valves and injectors? I do realize it's just about the smallest thing on your agenda right now, but you know "inquiring minds want to know&quo...
