Re: NJ/NYC/LI Machinery Movers

Sort of the reverse of that is finding a novel approach to the problem; a friend up in Ottawa built a 4 seat plane in his basement, about 11' wide without wings attached, the old joke about not being too bright how are you going to get it out of there? Nearing completion he was sitting in the living...

Re: Help identify a part M-21 Mogul

Yes I kind of picked the M-21 because it's not another "generic" 2-6-0. it is a 2-6-0 on steroids; bigger drivers, bigger cylinders, bigger boiler, higher pressure, higher gross weight. There was not enough room around the boiler for the front doors you see on other Moguls. They had feedwa...

Re: Help identify a part M-21 Mogul

Russ, yup, any configuration but coal powered =)... the one I wanted. But considering people go from coal to propane...meh? Seriously though it would have been nice to stick with some degree of authenticity. John, yes, I noticed 1838 was missing the heater and came to the same conclusion that it had...

Re: Help identify a part M-21 Mogul

Hard to determine at what point in their lifetime these pictures were taken, maybe original issue was with 70/90/100-C-2 type tenders and later the other type?
