Is it the bar ringing, or the part?

Looks like quite a bit of stickout there. I try to minimize the radial stickout of the cutter so as to minimize the torque on the bar.

"White gas" is gasoline. I use it, but only outdoors, working on the ground.

Acetone works well (keep it away from paint and plastics) but it is nearly as dangerous as gasoline.

But really bright light will make your pupils constrict. So what does this stuff do that a really bright reading light won't?

Constriction of the pupils will also tend to make it hard to see in anything but bright light.

Pack the hole with grease plus something such as string that you can pull out later. This is to keep swarf out of the hole. Install the sleeve. Grind a hole in the sleeve with a die grinder. Fish out the packing and the swarf with it.

The sleeves I've used aren't very hard but I've never tried to put a hole in one.
