Just did a test run of the 1" electric tonight after the kids went to sleep and then put it in its box for the flight. It may not be the prettiest loco, but I made it when I was twelve and it fits in checked baggage with no additional fees. Now where am I going to fit all the magazines?

Jeff, I would love to see it as well. I have been using the Australian Char lately which is great, but won't last forever. I would like to consider an arch in the future. (Some info and a few pics would be great for HRJ as well if would would like to brag to others. I'm sure more than just this boar...

Is that not the truth. Way too many engines go that way.

Ben,

They weren't just laying under a tarp. The owner had them were he could see them each day he drove in his garage and the gray geep was in his study. All four locos will get a lot of use, which I couldn't do by myself. Plus, the units will be mated again at some of the LALS meets in the future.

Don't forget Ferrell's books on the West side. I bought the books half for the drawings in them. Great pics as well to model from.

I was thinking the same thing, Chris. Oh well. At least I got to see the new Geep's Mars light in the rain. Took me right back to the Placerville local on the branch. Robert, when's the next time your going to the track? I want to make a trip down there and its always nice when other "small&quo...

Holy Geepers Batman!

I thought I would show you around the recent roster of the American River Navigation and Railway. The railroad just added two new GP9s, a scarlet and grey SP with full light package and a tiger stripe ATSF, and was storing two black widow SP units until delivery at Christmas to a railroad in Poway, ...

I took my two GP9s and the two GP9s I'm delivering this weekend to LALS. It was a blast! I MUed three of the four and took some laps. It was sooooo cool. I will post pictures as soon as I can. This was the last time these four locos will be together for the foreseeable future. They have lived togeth...

dot...dot...done. 1" track done.

After quite a while of work, fitting it in between everything else I have going on, I have finished the 4 3/4" gauge track at the Sacramento Valley Live Steamers (I won't call it a "railroad museum." I'm just to much of an old-timer around here to do so.) The club had to replace about...

Yes, I will.

I will be at Sacramento if I can get the 1" rail back in, just a few days away from finishing. We had to rebuild the entire original loop (all of which is dual gauged), and I am relaying the third rail. If I don't complete it, I will be joining Rob at GGLS. I just got some new toys and am needi...
