Re: bandsaw blade selection ?

Fender, It's a pain changing blades, even on the vertical band saw. Most of the stuff on the horizontal is heavy stuff, your right. The rest of the metal, I cut with power metal hand shears, 4" 10,000 rpm cut off, 14" chop, or powermax 30 plasma. You just get a feel for the right tool. Not...

Re: HF Tube roller rebuild. Will it work?

Here's another arc project. A materal rack. The arc's in this rack comes in rings to hold the 4 buckets at an angle, to be seen into. I've got all the rack material bought, just find time to build it.

Re: HF Tube roller rebuild. Will it work?

The next arc project is the court yard gate. I put the two car width turn drive in. Planted all the flowers and cactus and installed drip system. http://www.enichesoftware.com/media/courtyard.jpg I built a front shade over the court yard. It's got uv, on it's top, you can compare the brightness and ...

Re: HF Tube roller rebuild. Will it work?

Here is my side gate, left back of picture, I plan on changing the top to an arc, like the picture, I placed in an earlier post. I'm thinking it's going to have to have it's top cut off ( into an arc), to make it look right. The vantana flower are growing good this year. That's a road runner to the ...

Re: HF Tube roller rebuild. Will it work?

Sorry I was editing my post, please re-read. It always starts out as a specific job, your right. But that's how all my machines got bought. http://www.enichesoftware.com/media/machinetools.jpg This is half of my shop, other half is a clean shop, another single garage. Gun reloading, shop press and a...

Re: HF Tube roller rebuild. Will it work?

Wow, a heavy duty flat bar roller! Thanks for the trouble it took to post it. I like your upright motor idea, have to give that some thought. I gave the schedule 40 and 1/4" flat a passing thought. But figured that's another machine. My gates around here are 1 7/8" thin wall or 1 to 1 1/4&...

Re: HF Tube roller rebuild. Will it work?

Stuart, thanks. Just look at the sprocket page, 21 deferent types, I've got to figure out. Looks like I'll be needing three sprockets the same and one with fewer teeth for the gear reducer arbor 1 1/8". http://www.mcmaster.com/#sprockets/=cxzaxh Two drive chains located inside frame. Also found...

Re: HF Tube roller rebuild. Will it work?

I think I have a plan of attack. 1) Remove the guts. The parts on the inside are built from 1/2" or greater material, the axles are 3/4". 2) Replace the front and back 3/16 plate. Maybe a little taller not much and wider for sure, with 1/4" plate. I want to keep the rollers in the sam...

Re: HF Tube roller rebuild. Will it work?

I like this one, of course in the $5000 range. My motor, gear reducer will fit the same way and stick out at the side. http://youtu.be/iSJE-W5vjKE Looks like a couple flange bearing, a new shaft on one of the lower roller dies. Plus a new (tool) broache set 1/2" to 1 1/2 hole 1/8, 3/16, 1/4 key...
