Drilling through boiler tube
I use standoffs for attaching items when I can but some item were bolted directly to the boiler shell. I shall use steel studs lock-tite sealed.

Would zinc plated screws be better. I am using 5-40 UNC screws.

Drilling through boiler tube
I need to drill into the boiler tube to mount various items and would like to know if it would OK to drill through holes and lock-tite stainless steel studs in? Thanks for your advice.

1.5" scale pipe fittings
I am looking for 1/8" and 5/32" MTP elbows and st. elbows. Did anyone take over Coles pipe fittings?

Accurate and scale are lofty goals that are sometimes impossible to obtain. The most notable inaccuracy is the oversize firebox doors. The standoffs on the boiler is for insulation space, the jacket will cover all of it. I tack welded the spacers at the location where the boiler bands will be located. The back head will have another formed copper sheet on the top half with a 1/4" insulation behind it.

I finished the throttle lever and mounted to the back head of the K-36.
